Penn GSE brings together a distinguished panel featuring alums Laura Boyce, GED’09, Executive Director of Teach Plus PA; Meredith Mehra, GED’07, GRD’24, Deputy Chief of Teaching and Learning for the School District of Philadelphia; and Stacy Holland, GRD’20, Executive Director of Elevate 215. Moderated by Senior Fellow Patrick Sexton, GRD'25, Assistant Dean of Educator Preparation and Undergraduate Programs at Penn GSE, the panel will share perspectives from research, practice, and education systems to explore how teacher preparation can best meet the needs of today’s learners and respond to the realities of shaping the future workforce.
Together, the panelists will discuss what new teachers need to succeed, how preparation can connect to continued growth and development, and how schools, universities, and other partners can work together to strengthen and sustain the teaching profession.
