Overview
The Pioneering AI in School Systems (PASS) is a professional development program designed to address the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on education. This innovative program equips educators, school leaders, and district administrators with the skills and knowledge needed to integrate AI tools effectively into classrooms, accelerate learning, and prepare students for the future of work.
Penn GSE can bring PASS directly to public school districts, independent schools, and other education organizations seeking support as they navigate AI implementation. Programs can be tailored to meet the needs of individual schools and systems—from building foundational AI literacy among educators to supporting instructional integration, leadership strategy, responsible use, and system-wide implementation.
The PASS Program Supports System through 3 Tiers of Instruction
The PASS program addresses the rapidly evolving opportunities and challenges of AI adoption in school systems through distinct learning pathways designed for district administrators, school leaders, and educators.
Duration: 2-Day Intensive Training
Modality:
District leaders will explore the transformative potential of AI in education, with a focus on:

This tier ensures administrators are equipped to lead responsibly and foster innovation across their districts.
Duration: 1 Weeklong Workshop

School leaders will build out implementation plans and school-wide strategies to address:

- Building an innovation-ready culture
- Supporting responsible teacher use

Leaders will leave with actionable strategies tailored to their school communities.
